PURPOSE:To form an optical image of an original on a photosensitive body and to form an electrostatic latent image or to read the optical image of the original with an optical reader by moving the irradiation position of a converging optical transmission body. CONSTITUTION:A converging optical transmission body 4 is supported freely shakably with a revolving shaft 20 near a glass 1 as the center by an optical transmission body holding member 15 attached to one side part of the optical transmission body 4. When a cam 19 is rotated by a cam rotating mechanism, the optical transmission body holding member 15 is turned at an angle (a) from the position indicated by solid lines to the position indicated by broken lines. When the optical transmission body holding member 15 is in the position indicated by solid lines, a light projecting hole of the converging optical transmission body 4 faces a photosensitive body 5 so that a reflected light L1 from the original is vertically irradiated to the surface of the photosensitive body 5. When the optical transmission body holding member 15 is in the position indicated by broken lines, the light projecting hole of the converging optical transmission body 4 faces a CCD6 so that reflected light L2 from the original is incident on the CCD6.
