PURPOSE:To decrease unevenness of performance of a fluid machine by incorporating a self-rotation preventing mechanism which allows revolution of a movable scroll but inhibits its self-rotation movement, between the movable scroll and a solid scroll. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of key grooves 301 are arranged in the mirror plate 2b of a solid scroll 2. On the other hand, key grooves 302 which are at right angles with the grooves 301 are arranged in the mirror plate 1b of a movable scroll 1. The keys 303 of cross keys 300 perform reciprocating motion in a longitudinal direction in the key grooves 301 of the solid scroll 2, and a key 304 of the cross key 300 performs reciprocating motion in the longitudinal direction in the key grooves 302 of the movable scroll 1. These two reciprocating motions are combined and the movable scroll 1 performs revolution as its own self rotation is prevented. Thus, unevenness of performance of a fluid machine can be decreased.
