The invention relates to a glue-spraying station 11 in which a strip to be glued onto a workpiece edge is provided with a coating of glue. According to the invention, the rear side 5a of the strip 4 is supported in this glue-spraying station 11 by a guide rod or wire 14 which is arranged below the glue-spraying nozzles 12. In the process, the strip 4 is held below the glue-spraying nozzles 12 by one or more blast nozzles 13 at least in the area of the bottom marginal section pneumatically against this guide rod or wire 14 so that the strip 4 can be reliably guided in the glue-spraying station 11. <IMAGE>
