PURPOSE:To make a conveyer belt endless for a short time which has a load mounted surface covering rubber worn unevenly, by mounting a sponge mat having special constitution on said covering rubber to pressurize and bond said mat and rubber to each other between hot plates. CONSTITUTION:A conveyer belt is constituted from both uper and lower cover rubbers 7, 3 and a core tensioning layer 2 sandwiched therebetween, and has an unevenly worn portion 1 on the load mounting surface. In this case, a sponge mat 6 having 20-40 deg. of hardness, 600-900g/cm<2> of cushion property in 25% compression, 160 deg.C or more of heat resisting property and thickness equal to 2- 5 times depth of unevenly worn portion 1 is mounted on the upper surface cover rubber 7. And the sponge mat 6 and the conveyer belt are sandwiched and compressed between both upper and lower hot plates 5, 4 so that the sponge mat 6 is completely embedded in said portion 1. Thus, the volume of the unevenly worn portion 1 can be supplemented simply and rapidly. |
