PURPOSE:To check on the validity in the meaning of operation in the state transition diagram of an exchange and a following state by utilizing a language analytic tool (ATN) based upon existent state transition. CONSTITUTION:A meaning data base 1 holds item contents in input data while making them significant according to their meaning level. A meaning retrieval part 2 input a pair of an operation and a following state and retrieves the meaning data base 1 to generate a conception list of meanings of input data. A meaning check part 3 checks on the validity of the connection between meanings of the operation and following state. A rule base 4 matches the meaning of the operation with a conception list of states and a rule description interpreter 5 interprets ATN description and excutes it.
