PURPOSE:To arrange so that the visibility and adhesive property of a mark may be enhanced without adversely affecting a rust inhibitive effect by stripping off and removing with rotating friction member a film of a rust inhibitor on the surface of a shell in the marking of an elastic surfacial wave device. CONSTITUTION:An elastic surfacial wave (SAW) device 11 forming a rust inhibitor film is held by a chuck 12 which orbits sporadically, and stops right under a rotor 14 after passing through an inspection process for pin bend and a test process for electric properties. Then a socket lifting mechanism C ascends and causes a device lead pin 11b to be inserted into a socket 15. At the same time, a rotary terminal 14 descends and causes a rotating friction member 13 to contact the upper surface of a shell 11a for the device 11, thus stripping off and removing a rust inhibitor film on the upper surface. Later, the shell is transfered in orbit to a marking position where its mark is directly printed on a portion having a rust inhibitor film stripped off and removed of the shell. In this way, the deteriorated adhesive property and visibility of a mark caused by a rust inhibitor film of low surfacial smoothness is normalized. |
