A protective case set for tape cassettes comprises a plurality of protective cases with in each case a flat, rectangular box (1), intended for receiving a cassette, with an insert which can be introduced into an open side (15) of the box and can be loaded with a tape cassette, and with devices on the box (1) for releasably connecting a plurality of protective cases together. The protective case set is characterised by two angle pieces (2 and 3), which are designed in such a way and releasably arranged on the protective case set at least in such a way that they are able to cover with one leg in each case (27 and 32, respectively) the free main face (5, 6) of the first and last box (1) over its full surface and are able to engage behind the boxes (1), at least in certain regions, of the protective case set with the respectively other leg, the leg side (27 or 32) of the angle pieces (2 and 3) which is turned towards the free main face (5, 6) of the respective box (1) being designed with dovetail-shaped grooves and ribs (29 and 34), which can in each case be brought into engagement with the corresponding grooves and ribs (17 and 18) of the neighbouring boxes. <IMAGE>
