A non-continuous filament bunch-manufg. method, uses a filament bunch composed of Acryl-type synthetic fiber. The filament bunch is placed into a cooling medium that is maintained at a temp. lower than -20≦̸C. Either while it is in the medium or following immersion, the bunch is crimped and then each single filament in the bunch is cut.
