In a testing station for quality testing of non-metallic, plate-shaped materials, an input station (12) suitable for accepting a sample strip (28) is connected to a length-cutting station (32) for cutting specimens (48, 72) to length from the sample strip, and the length-cutting station is connected to a plurality of testing stations (45, 92, 100) by means of automatically controlled feed elements (16, 36, 66, 76). So that the specimens can be exactly aligned in the testing stations, the latter are provided with positioning elements. Moreover, the testing stations are assigned actuating elements (60, 102) for the testing tools (52, 98, 104) and measuring elements (58, 108) for the test values and their conversion into the form of signals. The signals are evaluated in a computer and a test log drawn up in the computer is printed out in a printer. <IMAGE>
