PURPOSE:To enable to deal with the all types of automatic air flow direction change- over device by utilizing an SMA material having only one kind of critical point, and contrive to achieve the mass production effect by a method wherein a variable blade is operated by a coil spring made of a shape memory alloy and an air flow quantity directed toward the coil spring is controlled by the coil spring. CONSTITUTION:An air flow control plate 16 is arranged at the downstream side of a heat exchanger 5 and an auxiliary heater 6, the air flow control plate controls an air flow directed toward a coil spring-shaped SMA12. At the heating operation of a ceiling hanging heat pump type cooling-heating device 1, when the air heated higher than the designated temperature is blown-off, the air flow directed to the SMA12 is varied by the operation of the air flow control plate 16 so that the SMA12 is heated and controlled, then a variable blade 9 is inclined forward to be in steadily downward blow-off manner. Thus, the temperature of the SMA12 is preset to be the critical point (contracting temperature). Therefore, the preparation of SMA material having inherent critical point is not required for each type of device even when the temperature of the SMA12 mounting location is varied for the temperature of the blow-off port and the relative relationship between said each temperature is varied dus to the type of device.
