PURPOSE:A deodorizing and odor removing agent useful in the field of foods, cosmetice, etc., having high safety, showing improved effect, containing dl- tocopherol, ester gum and/or methylhespridin as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:At least one substance selected from dl-tocopherol, ester gum and methylhespridin is used as an active ingredient of a deodorizing and odor removing agent. All of the compounds have improved odor removing effect on a substance with an offensive small such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, trimethylamine, methylmercaptan, etc. and they all are authorized as food additives, so there is no fear with respect to safetyd at all and they are preferably usable in a wide range such as food field, cosmetic field, etc. The active ingredient can be combined with another deodorizing and odor removing agent such as a specific amino acid, organic acid, etc., and synergistic effect can be expected in that case. |
