PURPOSE:To attain accessing at a high speed by regarding a magnetic disk controller as an emulated memory controller, and providing the memory unit controller of a magnetic memory unit with a cross-calling function. CONSTITUTION:Central processing units 1A and 1B share a shared memory device 3 having a semiconductor unit as an auxiliary storage device through CPU buses 2A and 2B. The shared memory device 3 has memory controllers 3A and 3B and are coupled with the CPU buses 2A and 2B, and the memory controllers 3A and 3B control the reading and writing of data from and to the semiconductor memory unit 4 on cross-call basis. The controllers 3A and 3B emulates the controller of the magnetic disk device, serves as an intelligent controller having a DMA and an interrupting function, and employs programming technique using a microprocessor. |
