The invention relates to a method and a mould for manufacturing shoe soles consisting of two wooden parts which are interconnected in the ball region by a flexible intermediate part made of plastic or the like. In this case, the mould is used for manufacturing this intermediate part.
<??>In order to shorten the manufacturing time of such shoe soles and to prevent displacement of the wooden parts, a blank made of wood is first machined on its underside and in the region of its outer surface corresponding to the outline of the finished shoe sole. In this case, a transversely running groove, which separates the two wooden parts of the finished shoe sole from one another, is cut into the blank. Subsequently, the blank is inserted into the mould and the flexible intermediate part is if applicable manufactured together with an outsole. Subsequently, the blank is removed from the mould and the finished shoe sole is separated from the rest of the blank. In the mould used, only one mould half has a recess for the blank, whereas the other mould half is formed by a plane plate.
