<p>A sewing machine control apparatus is provided with an input means which can separately input various kinds of data, such as program information, unit pattern data and numerical data, and a means which discriminates a program setting command signal and an execution command signal. In the case of the former, information is stored as program data by a storage means; in the case of the latter, program data is read out by a program read-out means. The program data read out is accurately compared by a comparator means with data detected by a detector, such as an actual number of stitches or data related to the stop position of the needle bar. On the basis of the result of the comparison, a cloth feed mechanism or a thread cutting mechanism is ON/OFF controlled. Thus, it is possible for the controlling apparatus to set a desired program by combining unit patterns as desired and to call the set program as desired according to need so as to prepare an execution program. Therefore, the operation efficiency is greatly improved.</p> |
