A lock fitting for windows or doors with a plurality of lock plates (4, 17) which are arranged on the window or door surround and behind which bolt elements (15, 25) on the leaf of the window or door engage, the lock plates being fitted at predetermined spacings on a rail (1, 16, 33) extending along a narrowed portion of the surround which abuts an overlapping surface of the leaf, and each lock plate being in the form of a separate part, characterised in that the lock plates (4, 17) are disposed in recesses (3) or interruptions of the rail (1, 16, 33) and are retained by them at their spacings. |
