The invention relates to a hot-water boiler with a cylindrical upright boiler, on the circular cylindrical peripheral wall of which at least two groups of connections are provided, the connections of a first group of which being provided in a first vertical boiler plane enclosing the boiler axis on the rear side of the boiler and the connections of a second group of which being provided in a second boiler plane enclosing the boiler axis on the front side of the boiler, the two boiler planes enclosing an angle of less than 90 DEG with one another, as well as with a jacket made of heat-insulating material surrounding the peripheral wall of the boiler. It is characterised in that the jacket is composed by vertical division of a number of identical parts bearing against one another and that the division is carried out in such a manner that each division or each division surface formed by a division lies outside the first and the second boiler plane as well as outside auxiliary planes running perpendicularly thereto and, in an assumed peripheral direction of the peripheral wall of the boiler, each division lies between the first boiler plane and a second auxiliary plane which follows in this peripheral direction and runs perpendicularly to the second boiler plane or between the first auxiliary plane running perpendicularly to the first boiler plane and the second boiler plane which follows in the peripheral direction.
