The invention relates to a method for connecting two-part housings, for example those for double-diaphragm actuating elements, servo brakes, pumps and the like and containers similar to housings, a slot with an oblique surface which extends essentially in the circumferential direction, extends to a first flange side and, starting from a central area, approaches one of the two circumferential directions being formed in a cylindrical part at an outer peripheral end of a second housing part and, after insertion or fixing of the second flange in the cylindrical part, an area of the oblique surface being pressed against the inner side of the housing and the second flange thereby being pressed against the first flange or connected to the latter via the oblique surface.
