The invention relates to a process for eliminating residues in moulds resulting during the production of moulded articles based on polyurethane, PVC or polystyrene by the action of detergents and subsequent washing out with solvents. The essence of the invention is that the surface of the mould cavity is subjected to the action of a citrus terpene for at least 5 minutes.
