Independent suspension for the driven wheels of a motor vehicle each with a wheel-guiding spring strut and a lower control arm pivoted on the former or on the assigned wheel carrier by way of a ball joint, which control arm is pivoted so that it can swivel on the vehicle body, and with a U-shaped stabiliser aligned transversely to the vehicle's longitudinal axis and pivoted so that it can swivel on the vehicle body, the angled ends of which stabiliser inclined towards the horizontal are each connected to one of the lower control arms of the axle, the control arm being designed as a triangular control arm with only one articulation on the body side and two on the stabiliser side and the stabiliser being pivoted on the vehicle body so that it is longitudinally flexible. <IMAGE>
