The invention relates to a device for controlling the agglomeration process in fluidised bed apparatuses with classifying discharge which are run continuously so as to achieve stable operation. A device is to be provided which makes it possible to maintain the bed material in a defined region during fully continuous operation, the ratio between blown-in dust and injected liquid being required to be constant at all times. The measurement of the bed material should be direct, and the measurement signal must not be subject to fluctuations. According to the invention, an agitator is arranged in a fluidised bed apparatus, hollow bodies being attached above the upper agitator blades to the inner wall of the apparatus above the upper agitator blades and in parallel above one another, which hollow bodies can be deflected in the horizontal plane, which have an internally arranged rod linked to a control unit, and which have baffle plates shaped vertically at the bottom. The invention can be applied to agglomeration appliances in the chemical and food industry.
