PURPOSE:To carry out both-faces hot dipping giving clean surfaces by positioning one end of a pretreating furnace in a hot dipping bath, placing a guide roll on the outlet side of the end so that a part of the roll under the axial core is immersed in the bath, and introducing a steel strip to be hot dipped into the bath before the strip contacts the guide roll. CONSTITUTION:One end 1 of a pretreating furnace is positioned in a hot dipping bath 2, and a guide roll 3 is placed on the outlet side of the end 1 so that a part of the roll 3 under the axial core 7 is immersed in the bath 2. A steel strip 4 is introduced into the bath 2 through a deflector roll 8 before the strip 4 contacts with the guide roll 3. The strip 4 is subjected to both-faces hot dipping. |
