PURPOSE:To measure the radioactivity intensity of tritium by containing mixedly a metal occluding tritium at the inside of a scintillator, and counting the optical signal due to tritium decay from the scintillator. CONSTITUTION:The tritium in air which is present in a moisture state is introduced to a detector 6 through a flow meter 2, a condensor 1, a water decomposision apparatus 3, an oxygen removing apparatus 4, a cut-off valve 5, etc.. Hydrating metal is put in the detector 6, hydrogen and tritium are occluded thereto and dipped in the scintillator. If the tritium beta-decays, beta particles are spattered to the scintillator, and pulse-like light is emitted. The light pulse is converted to an electric signal by a photomultiplier 10, an electric source 11, etc., counted by a counter 12 and sent to a computer 13. The air quantity and the signal, etc. of finishing the water decomposition measured from the meter 2, the apparatus 3 are inputted to the computer 13, and the analyzed result using these signals is displayed on a displayer 14. |
