PURPOSE:To automatically record use history of a record medium by recording use conditions including the number of use in the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The number of use of respective B1 and B2... recorded in a use information recording part 2 of a VTR10 tape 1 through a retrieval control circuit 13 corresponding to a recording or reproducing commands and a start command through a keyboard 12 is read and written through an extraction circuit 14, etc., in a RAM15. The circuit 13 counts up by +1 for the number of use of a specified block by the keyboard 12 and the number of using blocks corresponding to a recording part 2 is updated, and the recording medium use history is automatically recorded. Based on this automatic recording result, respective blocks of the tape 1 are satisfactorily controlled. |
