PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism and to attain miniaturization of a pickup arm device by providing a compression spring between a spring bearing of an inner ring of a pickup and a spring containing a spring bearing of an arm body and controlling the stylus pressure with the load of the compression spring. CONSTITUTION:A stylus pressure impressing spring 13 is hooked between a spring bearing 11a protruded from an inner ring 11 of a pickup arm device and a stylus pressure control spring 12 containing a spring bearing rest 12a which is screwed into an arm body 9. In such a constitution, the screw 12 is revolved by a driver to change the distance between the bearing 11a and the rest 12a and then change the load of the spring 13. Thus the stylus pressure is controlled. In this way, the stylus pressure control mechanism is simplified and the miniaturization of a pickup arm device is attained.
