PURPOSE:To facilitate the polishing of a metal mold, the transfer of an abrasive tool and polishing operation and improve efficiency by transferring the abrasive- tool side through manual operation without transferring the polished metal mold and providing a swing movement for the abrasive tool. CONSTITUTION:An abrasive tool installed onto the lower edge of a main shaft 7 is positioned onto the polished surface of a metal mold through the horizontal turn of a horizontal articulated arm 1 and the vertical movement of the main shaft 7 through the manual operation of a slide lever 10, and the direction of the swing of the abrasive tool is allowed to coincide with the polished side-surface by the manual adjustment of a swing mechanism 8. In this state, the direction of swing is fixed by a lock mechanism. The adjustment of height of the abrasive tool and application of pressing force for polishing the surface and the concaved bottom surface of the metal mold are carried-out by the dead weight of the slide lever 10, while the polishing of the side surface is not carried-out by the dead weight but the height of the abrasive tool is locked and fixed at the preset position by the manual operation of the slide lever 10. In any case, the arm 1 is manually turned to shift the tool along the necessary polishing pass and polishing is performed. |
