摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain semi-carbonized coke, in high thermal efficiency, without causing the cracking of the coke, by partially carbonizing green briquette utilizing the sensible heat of the gas exhausted from a reducing furnace after the reduction of iron ore, and carbonizing the briquette again with a hot reducing gas. CONSTITUTION:The fuel blasted through the tuyere 4 is converted to a hot gas composed mainly of CO and H2 in the coke layer (b), transferred upward through the gaps in the layer (b) to melt the partially reduced iron, etc., and recovered from the gas-outlet port 3 as a hot reducing gas. At the same time, the produced molten iron, etc. is made to contact countercurrently with the ascending gas in the gaps, and the iron oxide in the molten slag is reduced with coke to molten iron. The produced molten iron and slag are discharged through respective discharging port. The gas 12 composed mainly of CO and H2 and taken out through the outlet port 3 is blasted into the iron ore reducing furnace 14 and the recarbonization furnace 17 for the semi-carbonized coke to reduce the iron ore 15 in the reducing furnace 14. The gas 18 exhausted from the reducing furnace is used for the partial carbonization of the green briquette.
