METHOD FOR DEPHOSPHORIZING MOLTEN STEEL

PURPOSE:To dephosphorize efficiently molten steel during tapping by pouring a dephosphorizing agent granulated to <=2mm. grain size on molten steel during tapping under high pressure. CONSTITUTION:A dephosphorizing agent is granulated to <=2mm. grain size by crushing. The granulated dephosphorizing agent 1 is poured on molten steel 2 during tapping with pressurized gas. The poured agent 1 is accelerated by the pressurized gas and enters the molten steel 2. The molten steel 2 contacts directly with the agent 1, and a reaction takes placed in an extended part, so a significant dephosphorizing effect is produced in a short time.
