PURPOSE:To recover pressure energy of furnace gas together with chemical energy by performing power generation with a fuel cell by using furnace gas of a blast furnace or a reducing furnace, and performing power generation with a dynamo by driving a gas turbine with furnace gas. CONSTITUTION:Furnace gas exhausted from a blast furnace is fed to a fuel cell 10 after removing impurities with a gas purification devices 9. In the fuel cell 10, the gas is electrochemically reacted with oxidizing gas such as O2 separately supplied to generate electricity. Direct current electricity generated in the fuel cell is converted to a.c. with a power converter 12 to supply to desired application. Gas exhausted from the fuel cell 10 is fed to a gas turbine 11 to drive the turbine 11, and a dynamo is drived for power generation. Gas exhausted from the gas turbine is fed to desired portions to be used as fuel. |
