PURPOSE:To simplify mechanism switching between recovery of dummy bars on the billet drawing route of a continuous casting machine and billet transfer and to permit easy removal, maintenance and inspection by providing a transfer roll arranging carriage and a moving carriage having a dummy bar recovering device in the midway of said route. CONSTITUTION:A gap is provided in the midway of the billet drawing route of a continuous casting machine and rails 42 are laid in the direction perpendicular thereto. A transfer roll arranging carriage 4i and a carriage 61 for a dummy bar recovering device 6 are placed thereon. The prescribed operation is made by changning over the carriage 4i and the carriage 61 for the device 6 according to need. Mechanism swiching is simplified and the removal of the billet, etc. as well as the maintenance and inspection are facilitated. |
