The invention relates to novel tropone derivatives, of antiinflammatory, analgesic and antirheumatic activity, of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R2 is hydrogen, hydroxy, halogen, lower alkyl, or lower alkoxy, and R3 is hydrogen or acyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
