PURPOSE:To enable high data safety by receiving data by type of terminals through which an IC card is used by IC card and by giving permission to only the section of a data memory area corresponding to the data by the terminal type. CONSTITUTION:An IC is embedded in a plastic IC card interior, and constituted of a CPU20, an EEPROM21 and a RAM22 for working. A connector 3 consists of C1-C8. When the IC card is inserted into an IC card input device, a power source is supplied to the CPU20 through terminals C4 and C8, a reset pulse is supplied from the terminal C7, and acting programs stored in the ROM21 start. When the collation of hardware finds no troubles, data by the terminal type are transmitted for an IC card. Receiving said data, the IC card side decides them and opens an data storage area corresponding to said data. Namely, an access to only the area is validated. |
