PURPOSE:To operate ventilation in accordance with the amount of consumption of oxygen in the room by a method wherein a control unit, which inputs the signal of an oxygen concentration sensor and drives a ventilating means for a predetermined period of time or until the oxygen concentration in the room arrives at a predetermined concentration when the oxygen concentration in the room has become lower than the predetermined value, is provided in the device. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 10 processes the signal from the oxygen concentration sensor 4, stores the result of processing into a RAM13 and indicates it in a concentration indicating unit 19. When the result of operation of concentration becomes lower than the lower limit value of oxygen concentration, a blower driving signal is outputted and the blower 5 is driven until a time t2 after the predetermined time T0. According to this operation, the oxygen concentration in a cultivating room 3 approaches the oxygen concentration Xs of atmosphere. The control unit 10 outputs a pump driving signal simultaneously with the stop of driving of the blower 5 to drive the pump 23 until the time t4 and introduce correcting air to the vicinity of the oxygen concentration sensor 4. Then, the unit 10 operates correcting operation between the times t3, t4 during the introduction of correcting air to correct the oxygen concentration sensor 4 and obtain a correcting coefficient, thereafter, stores the result into the RAM13. Thereafter, the operation of concentration may be effected based on said correcting coefficient.
