PURPOSE:To prevent a door mirror from being damaged by a side brush, by making the side brush so as to separate it sidewards to a car with a part of the door mirror. CONSTITUTION:A reflection type supersonic detector to detect a car level and a body position of a car to be washed is set up in a front upper part along a forward direction of a running frame 2. In time of car washing, if a side brush 7 reaches to a position of 7A, the supersonic detector detects a boundary P1 between a front window FW and a ceiling surface RF. This detection signal is inputted into a control circuit and, after the elapse of T1 being inputted, the side brush 7 gets shifting outward, separating from the side of the car. After the elapse of T2 furthermore, the brush 7 again comes nearer to the car and starts washing the car. With the above motion, if the brush 7 comes to a door mirror part, it separates away from the car body so that any damage to mirror is thus prevented. |
