PURPOSE:To aim at simplifying a power feed device and as well at enhancing the reliability of the device, by providing bridge circuits disposed in d.c. circuits, and switching control elements connected between the positive and negative output terminals of the bridge circuits. CONSTITUTION:Switch control elements are connected between the terminals of bridge circuits disposed in a plurality of d.c. circuits and composed of diodes. During an electrical car 15 below a power feed line 5c runs under power drive operation, d.c. power is fed from a forward power converting device 1 to the electric car 15 through a direct bus line 3, a diode 12j, a thyristor cut-off unit 14c, a diode 12k, a line shut-off switch 13c and the power line 5c, and d.c. power is also fed to the electric car 15 from an adjacent power station. Then, when the electric car 15 runs under regenerating operation, the regenerated energy is returned to a commercial frequency power source bus line side through the line shut-off switch 13c, a diode 12i, thyristor cut-off unit 14c, a diode 12b, the d.c. bus line 3 and an invert power converting device 2. Further, power running electric car trains under a power feed line 5a are also fed with the recovered power through the path from the line shut-off switch 13c, the thyristor cut-off unit 14c to a power drive operation power supply source. |
