PURPOSE:To smoothly open and close a sunroof without incurring breakage of a weatherstrip, by providing such an arrangement that the sunroof is opened after a window pane is separated from the weatherstrip. CONSTITUTION:The roof of a vehicle body 1 is in part opened, and a T-like shape main frame 2 is attached to the opened part. A sunroof lid 3 is attached above the frame 2, slidably in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 1. A weather strip is attached to the side section of the lid 3, and the strip is adapted to abut against a door pane 15 when the lid 3 is fully closed. With the provision of a tilt link 18 disposed between the vehicle body 1 and the frame 2 the rear end of the frame 2 is vertically movable, and the subframe 6 of the frame 2 is coupled to the lid 3 by means of tilt links 11', 12' so that the subframe 6 is vertically movable, thereby the subframe 6 may be slidable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 1. |
