PURPOSE:To obtain a cooler of a stator coil which can be directly cooled forcibly by forming a vent passage around a stator coil. CONSTITUTION:A vent passage 21 is provided around a stator coil 2 between slots of a stator core 1. A turning flow B due to the viscosity of fluid is generated in an air gap 23 between the core 1 and a rotor core 22 by the rotation of the core 22 in a direction of an arrow A, and a pressure by a centrifugal force is generated by the turning flow. This pressure is utilized to form a forcible flow as designated by an arrow C in a vent passage 21 around the coil 2, thereby effectively cooling by the air. |
