POWER CIRCUIT FOR INDUCTION COOKING An induction heating arrangement adapted for energization by a pulsating power supply of relatively low frequency is provided, in which an induction heating coil is coupled to the power supply by a pair of power transistors arranged for push-pull operation. Alternatively switching each of the power transistors into conduction causes current pulses of opposite direction to alternately flow in the coil. The transistors are arranged to switch at a frequency which is high relative to the frequency of the power supply and which varies directly with the instantaneous amplitude of the power supply voltage. The amplitude of the current pulses varies directly with the instantaneous amplitude of the power supply and the direction of the pulses varies inversely with amplitude of the power supply with the result that the amount of energy delivered to the coil by each current pulse is essentially uniform from pulse to pulse.
|
