PURPOSE:To automatically stop the flow of gas when earthquake occurs, by a method wherein a lead ball is dropped along with generation of vibration, and the locking part of a normally-opened valve is unlocked. CONSTITUTION:When earthquake occurs, a lead ball 15 is dropped, the weight thereof causes disengagement of a cam 8 from a washer, and a conical valve 2 is closed through the force of a compression coil spring 3. This enables stop of the flow of gas. When the closed valve 2 is returned to its original state, a cover cap 16 is removed, the lead ball 15 is removed out from the cover, the washer 7 is lifted, and a tray 11 is quietly moved to its original state to place the lead ball 15 on a stand. |
