PURPOSE:To enable a centering work and a direct-coupling work to be effected within a shop, by a method wherein bearing retainer devices on both sides of an intermediate shaft and a labyrinth type airtight sleeve are integrally coupled. CONSTITUTION:A gap 9 between the outer periphery of an airtight sleeve 8, which is coupled with bearing retainer devices 2 and 3 by socket and spigot engagement to integrally assemble them, and the inner diameter of a partition 6 is sealed by a caulking material 10. An intermediate shaft 1 is retained by the bearing retainer devices 2 and 3 to transfer rotation torque. Airtight seal may be a system in which sealing is performed through contact with the intermediate shaft 1. This enables to carry out a centering work, required for skill, at a site and permits sharp decrease in the length of a working process. |
