<p>PURPOSE:To form an alloy layer having superior resistance to oxidation under heating at a low cost by plasma-spraying composite Ni-Cr-Al powder having a specified composition on the surface of an austenitic stainless steel member and by heating the member under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:Composite Ni-Cr-Al powder or Ni-Cr-Al alloy powder consisting of 10-35wt% Cr, 1-10wt% Al and the balance Ni is plasma-sprayed on the surface of an austenitic stainless steel member. The member is then heated at 800 deg.C- the highest soln. heat treatment temp. of the stainless steel, preferably 800-900 deg.C for >=2hr, preferably 2-10hr to form an alloy layer having superior resistance to oxidation under heating by thermal diffusion. The desired thickness of the alloy layer is about 0.1-0.2mm..</p> |
