<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled substance useful as an antispasmodic, an antipeptic ulcer, etc., by reacting 1,1-(di-2-ethyl)-2-dimethylaminomethyl-4-methoxy-5- hydroxy-1-pentene with a brominating agent. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by the formula I (R is OH-protecting group) is reacted with a 2-thineylmagnesium halide to give a compound shown by the formula II, which is dehydrated, the protecting group is removed to give a compound shown by the formula III, which is reacted with a brominating agent such as phosphorus trichloride, etc. in a solvent such as chloroform, etc. under cooling to give the desired compound shown by the formula IV.</p> |
