PURPOSE:To reduce the inner resistance of a lithium cell and improve its storage characteristic by using a metal liable to be reacted with sulfur such as copper for the current collector of a positive electrode using iron disulfide, etc. as a positive-electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1 is produced with a positive-electrode active material of sulfide series, such as iron disulfide, titanium disulfide, molybdenum disulfide; it is faced to a negative electrode 6 made of lithium via a separator 4, etc; and a current collector 2 for sticking the positive electrode 1 to a positive-electrode can 3 is made of a metal liable to be reacted with sulfur, such as copper, silver, titanium, molybdenum, iron, zirconium, niobium, to form a lithium cell. Accordingly, the current collector 2 is reacted with free sulfur in the positive electrode 1 to generate a sulfide on the surface, thereby generation of an oxide is suppressed, the inner resistance is reduced, and the performance deterioration due to the free sulfur can be prevented. |
