<p>PURPOSE:To easily perform the regeneration of activity efficiently, by immersing a catalyst substance supported strip silicon or phosphorus compounds being poisoning substances adhered and accumulated thereon in an aqueous medium containing an alkali metal in a carbonate form while washing and drying the treated one. CONSTITUTION:In re-activating and regenerating a catalyst deteriorated in its activity which is used in purifying exhaust gas and poisoned by the silicon and/ or phosphorus compounds mixed in the exhaust gas, said catalyst is immersed in an aqueous medium containing an alkali metal in a carbonate or bicarbonate form (e.g., sodium carbonate) and an alkaline earth metal or ammonium salt at least at 50 deg.C and, subsequently, the treated catalyst is boiled and washed in water to remove the above mentioned carbonate or bicarbonate before drying treatment. As a result, poisoning substances are penetrated into the internal inactive region from a catalyst substance supported strip and the concn. thereof is lowered from the aspect of catalytic activity and the regeneration of activity can be performed easily and efficiently.</p> |
