PURPOSE:To accurately measure the amount of the oil film applied to a steel plate, by evaporating the anti-rust oil applied to a metal and subsequently burning the evaporated oil to measure formed carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate coated with anti-rust oil is heated in a preheating furnace 1 and combustion gas such as air is introduced from a pipe 11 to evaporate the oil. Next, the evaporated oil and combustion gas are sent to a combustion furnace 2 and said oil is burnt to form carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. At this time, the temps. of the preheating furnace 1 and the combustion furnace 2 are controlled by a temp. control apparatus 3. Subsequently, formed carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide are metered by a carbon dioxide measuring instrument 42 and the amount of the oil film is converted from the amounts of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to be displayed by a display part 43. Therefore, only by introducing a steel plate to be tested into the preheating furnace, the amount of the oil film can be automatically measured with good accuracy. |
