<p>PURPOSE:To displace relative positions of a magnetic head and a magnetic tape to not only reduce wear of the magnetic head and the magnetic tape but also relax the attraction phenomenon between the magnetic head and the magnetic tape, by providing a displacement giving means which displaces the magnetic head, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a trigger signal (b) which is generated for recording or reproducing and indicates start of the magnetic tape is received, a displacement signal generating circuit 15 sends the second displacement signal (d) to a plunger 14. The plunger 14 drives a magnetic head 11 from the first position 16 to the second position 17 on a basis of the second displacement signal (d) so that the gap part of the magnetic head 11 is displaced to a minimum spacing position to the magnetic tape. Thus, the gap part of the magnetic head 11 is displaced to the minimum spacing position to the magnetic tape 13, and wear which is generated conventionally at a magnetic tape start time is not generated, and wear for magnetic tape start of the gap part of the magnetic head 11 and the magnetic tape 13 is avoided.</p> |
