PURPOSE:To form a video reproduced on a television receiver as natural video image close to an object by arranging image pickup picture elements of a solid- state image pickup element in matching with the distortion of an optical image by a wide angle lens so as to correct the distortion of the optical image. CONSTITUTION:The image pickup picture element 9 of a solid-state image pickup element 8 for door scope camera are arranged nonlinearly in matching with the distortion of the wide angle lens 2. When the optical image 4 distorted by the wide angle lens 2 is formed on the image pickup plane of the elements 8, since the element 9 are arranged in matching with the distortion, the distortion is corrected at optical conversion and an outputted video signal has substantinally no distortion. In reproducing the picture image by the television receiver 10 by using the video image signal through the use of the solid-state image pickup elements 8 in this way, the image is reproduced as a natural video close to the object 1 as shown in the video 11. |
