PURPOSE:To simply perform a balance regulating work of a superconductive rotor after completing the assembling by cooling the rotor with gas helium cooled by liquid nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:Gas helium is fed from a helium tank 16 containing helium, and fed through a heat exchanger 17. The exchanger 17 is cooled with liquid nitrogen 18, and gas helium cooled to liquid nitrogen temperature of approx. 77.4 deg.K is fed. The inner cylinder 2 of a superconductive rotor 12 is cooled with gas helium cooled to approx. 77.4 deg.K by the liquid nitrogen, and accordingly becomes the temperature near 77.4 deg.K. Then, when the inner cylinder is cooled to approx. 80 deg.K, it is equal in volume change to the case that cooled to approx. 4.2 deg.K of the actual operation temperature. Accordingly, the state of actual operation of sufficient superconductive temperature can be simulated, and the balancing work can be performed in this state. |
