PURPOSE:To prevent instant interruption of a communication line even if picture information from an electronic computer is delayed slightly from a prescribed time by providing a time and a pattern data storage means to an adaptor inserted between the electronic computer and a facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:The adaptor 2 inserted between the electronic computer and the facsimile FAX and transmitting the information between the computer and the FAX consists of an operating procedure conversion control section PDC7 and a modulator-demodulator section 8. The PDC7 consists an interface control section IF10 controlling the data terminal procedure, a main control section CT11, a time TM13, an FAX control section FXC12 and a pattern storage section PTM 14. The PTM14 stores prescribed picture information consisting of the combination of white/black run length codes. The TM13 supervises whether or not the information from the electronic computer to the FAX is transmitted within a prescribed time and when not transmitted, the prescribed picture information in the PTM14 is transmitted to the FAX via the FXC12 and the modulator-demodulator 8 under the control of the CT11 so as to prevent the communication line connected in the FAX from being interrupted.
