PURPOSE:To reduce a switching range and a reconsitution time by providing a switching device which switches and connects an opposite-directional transmission system device to a transmission system device to which a fault occurs and a switching device which switches and connects an opposite-directional line to a data line to which a fault occurs. CONSTITUTION:If a fault occurs to a transmission system device 31 while the transmission system of a data line 11 is in operation at a station 3, the input side of the data line 11 is switched to a fixed terminal 3 by an optical switch SW1 and connected to the optoelectric converter 321 of the transmission system device 32 of a stand-by system through an optical branching element BR6. Further, the output side of the device 32 is connected from a switched switch SW2 to the line 11 through an optical branching element BR7. If a fault occurs to the input-side line 11 of the station 3, an optical switch SW4 is operated and its input is connected to an optoelectric converter 311 through terminals 1 and 4 and optical branching elements BR1 and BR2. On the other hand, the output of an electrooptic converter 415 is connected to a line 12 at a station 4 through branching elements BR3 and BR4 and a switched switch SW3. |
