PURPOSE:To reduce the time for mounting of dies and to provide lessened manpower and improved safety of operation by lowering a slide to a bottom dead point so as to contact with a die set imposed on a bolster and pressing the die set. CONSTITUTION:A slide 17 is set to an upper limit and a die set 51 is placed on a bolster 41. The slide 17 is lowered to a level near the bottom dead point and is then stopped at the bottom dead point by inching. The stop is detected by an encoder 55 and an adjusting motor 37 of a slide adjusting device 9 is operated by the signal thereof to lower further the slide 17 until the slide contacts with the die set 51, thereby pressing the die set. The punch holder 45 and die holder 47 of the die set 51 are then fixed to the slide 17 and a bolster 41 by using clampers 43. The slide 17 is raised up to the upper dead point and the mounting of the dies is completed. |
